A member asked:

What is the safest antibiotic for throat infection for glaucoma patient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Any are OK: I am not aware of any antibiotics contraindicated in glaucoma patients, whether it is open angle or narrow angle glaucoma. Apparently there is the case of sulfa containing antibiotics being a risk for angle closure glaucoma due to rotation of the ciliary body, but I have never seen a case of this rare complication.
