Minimize stress: Many factors can contribute, some are "fixable", some are not(like age and genetics). Things that you can try to minimize the appearance, are optimize your sinus health particularly if you have allergies. Make sure you are getting sleep, eating well and remain active. Be good about sun protection. Avoid rubbing too much. Avoid too much makeup. Try cold compresses in the AM. Sleep more upright

Puffy dark circles: Dark circle under the eyes are partly genetically determined. Allergies, eczema, aging, liver problems, anemia, medications, and fatigue are causes. Some people have more melanin. Try teabags, coconut oil, cold compress, tumeric. http://www.webmd.com/beauty/eyes/ss/slideshow-banish-the-bags-under-your-eyes http://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/dark-circles-under-eyes/basics/causes/sym-20050624
