Change in rythmn: is due to change in heart rate /rhythm most likely. Amitriptyline is highly anticholinergic and will raise BP and Heart rate. Do not press on your neck to stop blood flow, have the situation re-assessed. Make sure you do not have a cavernous sinus or endolymph fistula.
