Pancreas related?: Abdominal pain in the upper middle abdomen that radiates to the back (typically between the shoulder blades) could be related to the pancreas. Other possibilities are acid reflux, stomach ulcers, food poisoning. If it responds to an antacid like TUMS, (calcium carbonate) it's not your pancreas, and is more likely acid reflux or an ulcer. If that's the case, you should try a 14 day course of omeprazole OTC.
