The mini-pill: The mini-pill is a progesterone only method of contraception. Progesterones are used in birth control pills for contraception. The estrogen is added for cycle control. Since your pill does not have estrogen you do not get good cycle control but do get contraception. There are many reasons to choose a progesterone only pill. The most common one is breast feeding. Discuss this with your doctor.
