Doubtful, but...: Most commonly, irritants from a contact dermatitis would not just affect the penis, but the whole area that would come in contact with the clothes that were affected by the detergent. Check with the Dermatologist or your Dr. to have the area looked at, as most likely, it is some other dermatitis/balanitis issue. Best wishes.
