Hypothetical: The scenario you outline is pretty abstract but if in fact you had a malignant brain tumor, it would be more likely than not to have progressed in 8 months. On the other hand, symptoms can be deceiving. Best to see your Primary Care for a checkup. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

I find this question: very odd. The progress of a brain tumor is variable depending on what type it is. There are some that are more slow growing and it takes awhile for symptoms to develop. There are some that are so aggressive, that you would have already gone to meet your maker in 8 months. Now why are you asking? Is it because of your headache history?

What are symptoms?: It is better to present the symptoms than to ask this question. This is a hypothetical question, testing a possible diagnosis, which happens to be rare. Aggressive brain tumors do not normally have an 8 month course without obvious symptoms. These can be seizure, loss of function (speaking, understanding, walking, strength, swallowing) and often weight loss. Are these your symptoms?
