Neck nodes: You need an excisional biopsy of one of the nodes which means surgical removal in order for a definitive pathologic exam can be performed. Given the subclinical presentation of the neck nodes and your age, lymphoma is high on the differential diagnosis. Neck US is useless for evaluating neck nodes, your ENT will order CT or MRI after a full Head and Neck exam. It may be low grade infection.
