Palpitations wellbri: This can be a side effect of wellbritin and you should consult your doctor and see if you can stop it and switch to an alternate drug.

CAFFIENE?: Caffiene use? I work very hard with my hard core caffiene drinking patients to reduce daily caffiene before starting wellbutrin (bupropion). It is usually well tolerated in patients who don't drink lots of caffiene.

Yes it can: Wellbutrin is a very useful medication for depression, focus, and even weight loss. It does have a caffeine like stimulant effect on many which can be good or bad. Everyone is different and therefore see different side effects or benefits. I caution patients when I start this medicine that it may cause palpitations, insomnia or strange dreams. Caffeine reduction may help.
