A member asked:

Taking lamictal, wellbutrin, (bupropion) lithium for bipolar depress. i'm 26. i was anxious before a performance, my heart pounding. took pulse, it was 137bpm!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Caution: Combining lithium with Wellbutrin (bupropion) increases risk for seizures. Lithium interacts with Lamictal to increase dizziness, drowsiness and difficulty concentrating. Both are mood stabilizers. Review meds with prescribing doctor and ask why you need two mood stabilizers. Anxiety may be from underlying issues plus multiple meds especially Wellbutrin (bupropion). I hope this helps. Best wishes.
