What should i do if i poked my eye and hours later it's still red and sore?

Get an eye exam: There could be a persistent or non-healing corneal abrasion, and inflammation of the eye (iritis) may be setting in. You may need antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops or ointment to help with the healing process.
