A member asked:

Are gerd and headaches related?

Not directly: While there is no direct link between headaches and GERD, reflux can be stressful, and stress can cause headaches. Bottom line: unlikely association, but possible. Hope this helps!

Yes, via LPR.: With laryngopharyngeal reflux, the acidic refluxate ascends higher than it does with GERD. As such, it can cause different symptoms, mimicking allergies and sinus problems, for example. This can contribute to a headache. So there can be an association, yes.
