9 d. late: pregnant?: Home pregnancy tests are inaccurate at only 9 days after expected onset of a period. Assuming that your cycles are very regular, "nine days late" is only 18 or 19 days after implantation, and the hormone produced in pregnancy is still low. Get a serum HCG test (much more accurate with low levels) or wait another week or so, and the HPT should be positive if you are pregnant.
