Don't know if you: are living somewhere that your computer cannot give you any news, but you may have missed that there is a prescription drug addiction epidemic which has taken place in this country for the last 15+ years, mainly with opiates, but with benzodiazepines as well. The number of deaths from prescription opiate abuse now exceeds that of motor vehicle accidents in young people. So answer is yes.
