A member asked:

What can i do to alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things: A formal support program helps reduce anxiety and alleviates withdrawal just by taking your mind off it, and focusing on other things. Exercise and other healthful activities can do the same. If moderate to severe, nicotine replacement (patches, gum, lozenges etc.) help, as do the prescription medications bupropion (Zyban) and varenicline (Chantix). Acupuncture&hypnosis help some people.
