Maybe indirectly: I have not heard of this reaction to a nicotine patch although every body is different. What seems more likely is that you are feeling stress in the process of quitting smoking. This could make you sweat more. Also, if you are not smoking, your sense of,smell,is more sensitive. Do you feel ok otherwise? You may want to check with your doctor about the strength of your patch. Nicotine can be: excreted in sweat, and some people have this problem more than other people (same with garlic and other aromatic compounds). You may find that using another form of nicotine replacement, such as lozenges. nasal spray or gum may work better. You could also try one of the prescription medications - bupropion or varenicline (Zyban and Chantix), as well as other techniques - hypnosis, acupuncture.
