Yes: A baby with Down syndrome can be diagnosed with a blood test. A mother carrying a baby with Down syndrome can also be diagnosed by blood tests on the mother's blood. The new test examines fetal cell-free DNA in mother's blood. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/down-syndrome/basics/tests-diagnosis/con-20020948
