A member asked:

My 13 yo has her yearly and was informed that if she got her period and her breasts began to grow they would perform other tests... what will be done?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Otherwise healthy?: In otherwise healthy adolescents with no genetic or hormonal concerns, a hemoglobin is checked to evaluate for anemia. This is generally the only routine test performed outside of the regular physical exam and screenings.
