Domino effect: In my foot and ankle practice, I see a lot of what I call the "Domino effect", which is when one biomechanical foot or ankle problem leads to an over-compensatory change in the patients gait or stance which leads to an entirely new problem. This can occur on the opposite side as that side now is bearing additional weight and your stance/gait has been affected.
