See below:: Home pregnancy tests are usually accurate after you miss your period. A blood test is the most accurate way to detect pregnancy. Pregnancy hormone can be found in your blood a few days before your missed period. A blood pregnancy test is also useful in problem pregnancies such as ectopic pregnancies that don't make enough hormone to turn a home pregnancy test positive. Best Wishes!
