How much ativan (lorazepam) could cause dangerous resp. depression in a 5'5" 138lb male. got prescription for 1mg tabs, scared to take them.

It's ok: 1 mg every 6 hours is safe. You can always cut the tablet in half and start with a lower dose to see how it will affect you. You will not have any respiratory depression at 1 mg dosage though.
