Yeast infections : candida is an yeast that most commonly cause an infection known also as candidiasis. Most people have candida as part of normal flora in balance with other bacteria and yeast species. It's only when there's a disruption of balance and overgrowth one pathogen the disease process starts. It's part of the host and doesn't get transmitted from "door knobs or clothes ".
