Sounds like: A skin reaction to tea tree oil. You're probably better off limiting placing any further creams or salves on the inflammed areas for now. Consider just placing a good sunscreen, like SPF 50, in the area to prevent further pigmentation and allowing your body to heal. Remember placing anything else over this area could make things worse. You might consider an OTC retinol containing cream at night
