Excellent question: Loxitane (loxapine) (I'll assume this is the medication you are taking) is a typical anti-psychotic that is structurally related to Klonopin a long acting benzodiazepine. It sometimes causes akathesia (restlessness) in higher doses. It's calming action can wear off after a few hours especially when you first start taking the medication. You first need to get with your psychiatrist and discuss your symptoms
