Is there any way to predict or prevent the symptoms of necrotizing enterocolitis?

No: Research is ongoing to try to find ways to predict or prevent nec. This includes things like early "trophic" feedings (small feedings even in the first few hours of life), "prebiotics" and probiotics, as well as breast milk and donor breast milk feedings. There is no single way that is known to predict or prevent nec in a high risk infant.

No!: There is unfortunately no way to predict who or when a baby gets necrotizing colitis. The more premature a baby is the higher the likelihood of nec. But there a long list of other reasons that can predispose a child to have nec.
