The ETG test: is somewhat unreliable. A recent study showed that it was effective in detecting alcohol use on 90 days of hair or nail growth but at a level of 30 drinks per week. But the ETG test as a rule is still felt to be unreliable at present

I doubt it, no etg: Drinking on a single occasion should not spike etg levels, which are more accurate in detecting differences in low, medium and high levels of drinking on a regular basis. The study looked at diiferences between subects who drank from 10 to 30 drinks per week, and for those who drank at those levels, etg levels corresponded to the low, medium ang high level groups.
