Clear mucus: could be normal. Leukorrhea is a normal vaginal discharge made up of cells and fluid. The consistency, color and amount of this discharge can change depending on time of the menstrual cycle & whether pregnant or not pregnant. See dr for marked change in d/c, pain, itching, odor. Take care.

Yes.: Clear mucous discharge is normal. The discharge comes from mucous glands in the vaginal and vulvar areas. The brown tinge to the mucous might NOT be normal however. It's probably coming from the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus. Since your periods are irregular, you might have an abnormal build-up of endometrium. Please make an appt. with your Gyno!
