Dentist: Many dentists offer teeth bleaching. You may not be able to get to super white. Usually bleaching only increases whiteness by a few shades.

See a dentist: You should see a dentist to determine what is causing the yellowing. Is it external deposits that can be cleaned off or is it intrinsic (within) the dentin, the layer beneath the enamel. If it's confined to the dentin, then whitening or bonding/veneers are indicated. The dentist can help explain the differences to you and what should work best for you.

Probably not: Yellow teeth represents a metabolic problem when the teeth were being formed. The whitening agent in tooth paste may or may not work as a temporary measure.

Clean and Bleach: First have a good cleaning. Then try bleaching - if that does not work then in office whitening - which uses a powerful light in combination with a chemical bleaching should work.
