Urgent Care facility: Don't go to er if urgent care is available.Er cost & wait-time is much worse.Consider heating pad/ice, otc meds (ex. Ibuprofen, icyhot, aspercreme) for tonight. Tomorrow, go see your neighborhood osteopathic doctor for a consultation. Hands-on exam & treatment could well help. Much trap pain is actually due to neck, thoracic spine, or rib dysfunction- all treatable by osteopathic manipulation.
