Whole fiber: White rice has been associated with a small increased risk for diabetes ( about 13%) and brown rice has been associated with a similar decrease risk for developing diabetes ( about 14%). No one know for sure why, but it may have to do with the whole grain in brown rice. Eating whole grains is healthier for you than eating processed grains.
