Heterogenous.: Fatty liver is very difficult to predict but generally carries a pretty good prognosis - very very slowly progressive. Of course do need to prevent any other liver disease by restricting known toxins (alcohol and tylenol) and by getting vaccinated against hepatitis A and B.
