Largely unknown: Aside from the anecdotal "born with hair-raised straight up after Psycho while pregnant", not too damaging. However, your adrenaline levels will be experienced by your developing fetus. It is not really known what effects such things have on a baby. It is best to reduce stress and remain as calm as possible, but epinephrine will also rise during exercise, too.

Pregnancy myth: There is no problem with scary movies and pregnancy. After approximately the 24th week, the baby inside is able to hear outside noises. A loud, scary movie may have sounds heard by the baby and you may feel the baby moving and reacting more. But other than that, there is no problems with scary movies during pregnancy.

No!: Obviously it's good to keep your stress levels down in general, especially during pregnancy. However, I see no reason not to watch scary movies if you enjoy them. Good luck!
