Abdominal pain: Mid-cycle pain as you described may be due to ovulation, which is due to a rupture of a follicle ( of a small cyst in the ovary when the egg is released) . It can also be related to a bladder infection, and is unrelated to your period. See your healthcare provider for an exam and treatment.
