Probably not: to prescribe Suboxone the physician must have a special DEA certificate called an X number which requires a special course. The first year they are limited to 30 patients in their practice at one time and after 1 year they can increase to 100. they are closely observed by the DEA and state. Some PCPs do but most providers do not accept insurance for addiction treatment.
