Polyp: For nasal polyps you need to have a ct scan nose and sinuses to look for origin as well an an allergic evaluation. The polyps are sent to pathology as well after removal in the operating room to be checked out. I'm not sure why it would cause a sore throat unless you are mouth breathing

Sore throat: What is the question? Nasal polyps have a tendency to recur and require long-term treatment and repeat surgical debulking if obstructive. The sore throat is likely due to mouth breathing as you may have nasal obstruction, or post-nasal drainage irritation the throat or allergic inflammation. There is also a small likely hood of infection if symptoms are acute or accompanied by fever, cough.
