Not necessarily: Not necessarily. The popping signifies displacement of the disk in your jaw joint (TMJ). Painless popping by itself does not require treatment. If you have jaw pain, sticking, headache. clenching, muscle tightness, you have a more serious problem. If so, see a TMJ expert.
