Hip subluxation, or the joint moving out of place, could be due to prior injury or hip dysplasia or labrum tear or other hip problems. Often, hip popping is due to soft tissue rubbing over other parts of the hip, and is not the actual ball coming out of the socket. Evaluation and xray can help determine your cause.
