A member asked:

My friend said they got a good high off of methadone and i wanted to try it but someone said a tiny bit can kill you. is that true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DO NOT TRY!!!!: Firstly, methadone is a class II prescription opioid, the class for drugs which are the most dangerous. For people who are not tolerant to opioids, relatively small amounts can cause overdose, or at least severe sedation that can cause car crashes and other problems. At 43, I would hope that experimenting with getting "high" would have become old by now. You are taking excessive risks - get help.
