No RT: Radiation therapy is not employed in metastatic colon cancer. Its most frequently employed in large rectal or rectosigmoid tumors with chemo to shrink the tumor in preparation for surgery. Metastatic stage 4 colon cancer is treated by combination chemo with immunotherapy i.e. FOLFIERI + ZALTRAP ( an epidermal growth factor inhibitor) New monoclonals are also in FDA trials for stage 4 colon Ca.
