See a dentist: There will come a point, in the very near future, that the pain will become unbearable. Your friend needs to immediately call a dentist for treatment. Why wait and suffer? The rotten tooth isn't going to get better without treatment.

He needs help fast: This is not a DIY situation. Most likely cause is infection. Pain Meds will not cure the infection. This can be dangerous, even life threatening. Get your Friend to a Dentist NOW. Don't wait.
