Loss of libido: Loss of libido (sex drive) is a complication of most, if not all, blood pressure lowering medications. It is specifically listed as an issue w/Atenolol. Check out http://www.drugs.com/atenolol.html. Have your husband inform his doc about this & any other side effect. Perhaps he can try an alternative w/o similar complications. Certainly, eating right & exercising regularly should help both issues.
