Multifactorial : Thanks for your question! This is one of the most common questions I see in clinical practice. Essentially it could be iron deficiency, thyroid issues, or androgenetic alopecia. There may be other more rare causes too. In short, I would go to your doc and get some iron and thyroid checked!

After following up as suggested, you might also consider that severe stress can lead to hair loss. This should be temporary, but if,this is,the case, addressing your stress could help.
