Not too late: Breast feeding is superior in all ways to formula feeding, and at 4 weeks, it is still not too late to enhance lactation. Regular nursing (every 2-3 hours day and night) for 10-15 minutes on each breast should increase lactation in this demand and supply mechanism. Mother needs to stay well hydrated and as rested as possible. Fenugreek can help, and lactation consultants are invaluable.
