A member asked:

My wife has systemic lupus, could this cause problems if/when she gets pregnant?

Find a high risk ob.: SLE and pregnancy can be complicated. However, many women with SLE have successful and and uneventful pregnancies. It is very important to have an OB that is familiar with potential risks to mother and developing fetus from SLE. It is equally important to find a rheumatologist that has experience with managing SLE during pregnancy.
