They can...: Usually the only issues that would preclude you from getting a flu shot is current infection, fever, or allergy to eggs/other parts of the immunization. Anxiety disorder does not prevent you from getting the flu vaccine.

Dr Elrod is right, but if you were actually rejected - it might have been an administrative decision to avoid a problem. They may have feared that you'd become too upset, cause a disturbance or suffer an unnecessary degree of emotional pain.
