Quite possibly: The death rate is approximately 55% (4 OCT 2014) with the current outbreak but in past death rates have been as high as 90%. The quality and availability of medical care in the United States exceeds that found in the West African countries where Ebola cases are occurring - so it is quite possible that survival rate would be higher for individuals treated in the United States.
