A member asked:

Can vegeterianism cause hair loss, weakness etc? what should i eat more to cover meat's nutriment? isnt it more healthy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Be safe: Vegetarianism is a healthy lifestyle if, and only if, you know EXACTLY what you are doing. You are going to have to supplement, Otherwise you'll ruin your health -- and we're not just talking iron deficiency (which will make you weak), but B12 deficiency (brain damage). Vegans have the moral high ground but the reported health advantages probably reflect these folks' other healthy lifestyle habits
