Ear lobe pain: Do U have pierced ears? R the openings red, inflamed, swollen? May have infection that may require antibiotics, or may have an allergic reaction to the metals in the earrings. 14 kt gold or higher usually won't cause allergy, but dermatologist/allergist can determine if U R allergic to alloys. PCP can treat infection. Heavy earrings may also cause irritation.
