Good skin care: routine is very important to have clear glowing skin. Use a salicylate based face wash twice a day, exfoliate regularly and use a sunblock. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy. You can also use retinoid cream for comedones once or twice a day on affected areas.

Acne: You may be able to minimize comedone production with good skin hygiene, but once the comedone has erupted due to blockage of the sebaceous gland, it may require medical extraction to minimize inflammation, risk for secondary infection, scarring and hyperpigmentation. Routine BHA and benzyl peroxide use can irritate and dry the skin.
