CDH?: Do you mean congenital diaphragmatic hernia? Length of hospitalization is difficult to say. There are different types and they have different outcomes It also depends on whether there are also additional congenital defects. CDH babies often have additional abnormalities.The baby's neonatologist and surgeon are the ones who can best answer this question. There are too many unknowns here.

No Way To Predict: That question depends on too many variables to be able to provide any meaningful response. It depends on how under developed the lungs are. How complex was their particular surgery. Were there any complications? … The list goes on and on. Stay in close communication with the ICU and surgical teams. Ask lots of questions if you need to. Be patient - it is not a process that can be rushed.
